New Europe Talent Award at ZUBROFFKA!

One of the world’s leading short film sales agencies – New Europe Film Sales – teams up with ŻUBROFFKA Short Film Festival to introduce a new award of the festival – New Europe Talent Award – dedicated to the most promising filmmaker, who has a unique and distinctive voice.

The prize will be endowed to the director of one of festival’s competition titles coming from Central and Eastern European countries. New Europe Film Sales will contribute to winner’s travel and accommodation expenses of up to 500 EURO and accreditation to the 2018’s Berlin International Film Festival, which allows the filmmaker to take part in the public talks of the prestigious Berlinale Talents workshop.

The prize will be announced at the festival’s award ceremony on December 10th, 2017 in Białystok, Poland.

New Europe Film Sales was founded in 2010 by Jan Naszewski, EAVE and Creative Europe expert. It’s a boutique world sales company based in Warsaw, Poland and working with both shorts and feature films. The company’s shorts catalogue includes 10 Oscar’s shortlisters and the 2017 Oscar winner, the Hungarian short SING by Kristof Deak and 2017 Cannes’ Palme d’Or for the Chinese film A GENTLE NIGHT by Qiu Yang (serving on festival’s jury this year) together with the works of great directors such as Ruben Östlund, Tomek Baginski, Daniel Mulloy, Magnus von Horn and Jonas Odell.
