What once was a nervous flirtation has become a passionate love affair!

Football and film have discovered they have a lot in common, and the „football film” has established itself as a genre. The astonishing variety of subject matter is reflected by the fact that football has transcended its historical origins and become a widespread phenomenon all over the world. Football film not only depicts social and cultural background of a given country, but also juxtaposes norms with rebellion, wealth with poverty and solidarity with fanaticism.
For 12 years now the International Football Film Festival 11mm from Berlin has been presenting feature, documentary and short soccer films (about 50 each year). At each festival, in the short film competition called „11mm Shortkicks” a jury comprising of footballers, journalists, musicians, directors and actors chooses the best football short.
In this program 11mm Festival presents a selection of the best football short films from recent years.
