All the colours of autumn years

All the colours of autumn years

The programme features a unique selection of short films that sensitively and empathetically explore human needs, worries, and emotional gaps.

The meeting will open with Cut – a moving story about the difficult, emotionally charged relationship between a mother and her adult son, who is about to introduce her to his new girlfriend. Over the course of one afternoon, the past intertwines with the present, and the dynamics between them take an unexpected turn. The Border tells the story of a Ukrainian mother and emigrant who, after years of separation, tries to rebuild her bond with her daughters. Their shared journey to Poland becomes a test of their relationship, and unforeseen events at the border put the family through a dramatic trial.

Meanwhile, Honey Bunny takes a humorous look at relationships. It’s a warm and funny tale about a retired couple who – thanks to Alina’s unusual job as a “professional cuddler” – rediscover intimacy, tenderness, and the joy of being together. The block concludes with Dance With Me, Dad – a deeply personal and touching documentary about a daughter’s attempt to reconnect with her depressed father. Her invitation to join her for dance lessons becomes a metaphor for understanding and hope.

“All the colours of the autumn years” is a collection of films that, with tenderness and wisdom, reflect on life at its various stages and celebrate the power of human connection.
