Belgian Film “Fries”

This year, ŻUBROFFKA presents short films from Belgium — a small, flat, and multilingual country with a surprisingly diverse and creative film industry!

The programme features a selection of the latest award-winning Belgian short films, made in both French and Dutch — cinema like the country’s iconic Belgian fries: crispy, flavourful, simply perfect! The programme includes: the story of a certain brotherly bond; a documentary portrait of the Brussels café Café La Perle, where karaoke warms hearts and reminds us of the uniting power of old hits; the adventures of a boy who sets off on a mad journey across the capital in search of a washing machine; a tale about the irony of an all-inclusive holiday paradise; and a trip to Istanbul, during which three men face an eruption of long-suppressed problems and emotions.
