A little girl, Oliwka, spends her holidays in her home in the countryside, where her parents run a shop. The holiday cheerfulness of a child collides with the everyday lives of the shop’s regulars, connoisseurs of drinks with varying percentages.

Zuzia, a very sensitive teenager with an artistic talent, is struggling with a drug addiction. Her brother, the film director, decides to take a closer look at the family to understand what might have caused the situation. Nevertheless, it is not a story about overcoming an addiction but about the enormous influence of relationships within a family on particular decisions of its members. The director focuses his camera lens on his loved ones in the most intimate moments and tries to capture hot spots, sources of conflict and the absence of mutual understanding.

After leaving prison, Mariusz and his son attempt to adapt to reality, interweaving the habits of jail with the struggle of everyday life. Contrary to popular opinion their relationship is filled with reflection and love. The protagonists’ sensitivity contrasts with the heartless reality that leaves a scar on former prisoners excluding them from being a valuable members of the society.

Christine is 72 years old and has never experienced true love. In order to change this, she signs up at a matrimonial agency. Subsequent dates bring only disappointment, and contact with ageing men makes the woman realise that a relationship may not be at all what she lacks for happiness.
