KIPA x Studio Munka: From Idea, Through Production, to Festivals – How to Make a Professional Debut

What does the process of creating a first film under professional conditions look like? Which mistakes should be avoided, and what should you focus on to give your debut a chance to succeed?

During the panel, representatives from Studio Munka will discuss their work with emerging filmmakers – from project selection, through development and production, to festival promotion in Poland and abroad. This session is for anyone who wants to understand how the debut system works and what real opportunities it offers to young filmmakers.

The panel will be hosted by Klaudia Preyss – Production Coordinator, and Bartosz Friese – Festivals and Promotion Specialist, both from Studio Munka.

Klaudia Preyss – graduate of the Faculty of Film Art Organisation at the Łódź Film School and Cultural Management at Jagiellonian University. She gained experience working on short and feature films, progressing through roles from assistant to production manager. She currently serves as Production Coordinator at Studio Munka, overseeing projects from the moment a film enters production to the completion of the project.

Bartosz Friese – graduate of the Film School in Katowice and Audience Development studies at Adam Mickiewicz University. Professionally linked to the cultural sector, he has worked in Warsaw theatres and at the Polish Film Institute. He currently handles festival promotion and distribution of Studio Munka’s short and feature films.
