Opening: Oscar nominees: short live-action films

The Academy Award is the most desirable film statuette in the world! Although its nominal value is low (in 1946 it was calculated to be worth about $ 4), in the film industry it is considered priceless – most awarded or nominated artists can take international fame and career for granted. And if during the last eight years, ZUBROFFKA has turned from a local event into a nationally and internationally recognized festival, this year we decided to open it with the crème de la crème of world cinema, that is with the films nominated for the Oscars!

Thanks to collaboration with ShortsTV, a global giant in distribution and sales of short films, we have the opportunity to present, for the first time in Poland, the best of the best, and certainly the most desirable short films of the previous season. The films had to win the major competitions and go through very strict selection rules of the Academy. Recently, five films from such countries as Afghanistan, the U.S., Belgium, Canada and South Africa have succeeded. We can be sure that the authors of these films will soon be a force in world cinema!
