The first bicycle was historically documented as a “running machine” during the French Revolution in Paris. A hundred years later, with the advent of motorbikes, bicycles lost their appeal; and after World War II they were associated with backwaters, lack of social success and backwardness. In Poland, only the “The Race of Peace” briefly raised, in social consciousness, the reputation of this democratic single-track two wheeler. With the dynamic growth in the late twentieth century, the invention of mountain bikes and the development of the environmental movements, the road vehicle propelled by muscle power again became not only a great means of transportation, but often the object of worship, personal identification and adoration. In a word, it did not just appear in the shops and streets but became a cultural value. In cinema since the legendary Bicycle Thieves by Vittorio de Sica (1948), the bicycle has been the object of emotions, dramatic plot twists and social hope; and in the unforgettable  Steven Spielberg’s E.T. it even opened the gates of heaven. Many filmmakers believed in the power bicycle magic, including George Roy Hill, Tim Burton, Takeshi Kitano, Sophia Coppola or Bodo Kox; and we would like to invite you for a bike ride in shorts!

Remember that, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure from 31 December 2002 on technical conditions of vehicles and their necessary features (Journal of Laws from 2015, item 305), bicycles must meet certain requirements.
