PINK CONCRETE (Turkey)

Pink Concrete describes himself as someone who ‘does pink touches to concreto music.’ This can be seen in his production and his style of mixing, as he is not afraid to add something light-hearted to techno music, which is a genre often understood as being quite serious. However, he still tends to travel through a range of emotions; there’s always a hint of melancholia in his sets.

Originally from Istanbul, his interest in mixing began in high school, where he began his education in production. In 2015 he moved to Prague, where he has stayed ever since. The underground electronic music scene in Prague is full of life and creativity, and his contributions include a small underground party series called Kave, a club night series called Pinkies, and most recently here and there, which curates overnight happenings through sound, light, and space in temporary, one night locations.

NEWA (Georgia)

For Newa, when DJing, the emotional guidance she uses to locate the structure of her set is key. She builds something that has all the ingredients of classic techno and at the same time perfectly mirrors its present sound. She explores the low-level end of the bass-spectrum as well as cunningly introducing squelchy acid together with intense melodies. Newa’s techno is direct with an intense presence, yet never forceful or intrusive.

Coming from the jazz scene (and being a classically trained musician) Ana Kublashvili chose the artist name Newa when she progressed into the electronic music field. Newa started out as a DJ in 2012 in her hometown of Tbilisi, Georgia, quickly making a name for herself around in the city’s famous nightlife spots. She is a resident DJ at the world-renowned Bassiani venue, a space that has given her a foundation to establish her skills on an international scale and performing at the scene’s most popular spots like Berghain Berlin, Basement New York, Institut für Zukunft Leipzig, Contact Tokyo or Awakenings Amsterdam. Newa is also a recurring favorite at Ben Klock’s touring event-series Photon.

When it comes to Newa’s own productions it is a direct transition from her sound as a DJ; she represents a nuanced artist, building her musical presence on technical skill and honest feelings. Her authenticity extends into the studio. What you discover when listening to her work is a producer who expertly manages to measure all elements; deep bass lines and sunken melodies coexist in harmony. Whether the end result is techno or an experimental ambient piece, she manages to create music resonating with depth and reflection.

Subspiele Records debuted Newa’s first own productions in 2012, since then she has gone on to release records on fine labels such as Klockworks, Semantica and positivesource. Since 2021 she’s co-running the label “Shin records”, a label that focuses on releases by emerging and established Georgian producers.

DTEKK (Poland)

Dtekk is Jędrzej Dondziło, a DJ and promoter from Białystok where he curates Up to Date Festival and engages in cultural activism. Occasionally, he’s also a radio host, working with national Czwórka radio station. He’s one of the most beloved people of Poland’s music landscape and the glue connecting different scenes and generations—Dtekk has been helming the DJ booth for 22 years now. Since his debut in Metro club, he has become one of the ambassadors of techno and electronic music in the country and was responsible for co-founding FOMO club, the Technosoul collective and label, as well as Salon Ambientu events and Secret Location parties. His versatility allows him to mix a very broad spectrum of what’s best in techno and electro music. However, his interest reaches further to experimental and ambient music, or to italo disco, which holds a particularly special place in his repertoire. When DJing he aims at striking a balance between the authentic hunger for the deepest forms of artistic expression in music and the spreading of his love to the audience. His commitment and ever-rising quality brought him to stages all over Poland and Europe.

MOHJI (Poland)

Mohji is a DJ, visual artist, and founder of the Warsaw-based collective WiREFRAME, which focuses on creating spaces that promote electronic music and support local artists. In his creative practice, Mohji explores a broad spectrum of sounds – from harmonious, immersive compositions rooted in ambient and dub, to raw, analog textures of modular techno with a heavy, hypnotic character. Inspired by the nostalgic vision of creative communities from the early days of the internet, he consistently develops a cohesive aesthetic that merges visual and sonic expression into a single, thoughtfully constructed narrative. For the past year, he has been working at Granko Agency, where he is responsible for communication and the realization of projects embedded in club culture. His work encompasses both the production of music events and promotional initiatives that support the growth of the local electronic music scene.
