Journalist Jury (the World)

Journalist Jury (the World)

The jury of journalists from abroad will decide which film (entered into Fiction.pl, Documentary.pl or Animation.pl) will receive the best Polish film award.

Dora Leu
Romanian critic, programmer and researcher based in Dublin. She is part of the programming team for the Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival (BIEFF), and an associate curator for the feminist cineclub F-Sides. She is currently researching videonostalgia and the role played by cassette-based media in describing contemporary identities on screen at Trinity College Dublin. She often writes on East-Asian cinema, with a focus on Japane and Hong Kong.

Emel-Elizabeth Tuulik
An Estonian-Kurdish writer, producer and performer whose work explores the intersections of humour, feminism, and comparative mythology. With a particular focus on Middle Eastern female narratives and hybrid belonging, Tuulik is recognized as one of Estonia’s most active female film writers. Her practice moves fluidly between research and intuition, creating spaces where image, text, and performance reimagine the ways stories are told, shared, and experienced. In recent years, she has written over 60 pieces, tracing the shifting sensibilities of European cinema, theatre and film festivals.

Olivia Popp
A film writer, critic, and programmer based between Berlin and Brussels. As a critic, she contributes regularly to the European trade publication “Cineuropa”, with additional bylines in “MUBI Notebook”, “Little White Lies”, “Modern Times Review”, and “Senses of Cinema”, among others. She is a member of the international programming team of One World Slovakia International Documentary Film Festival and the editorial team of International Film Festival Rotterdam. Olivia was part of the FIPRESCI Jury at the 2025 Berlinale alongside other festival juries in Poland, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Canada, and the UK. She is a member of the European Film Academy.
