We have invited Nata Metkluh to create the trailer and graphics for this year’s festival. The visual identification based on her concept was made by graphic designer Izabela Sroka. Nata Metkluh was born in Ukraine and now lives and works in California as an animator. She graduated from Vancouver Film School and Estonian Academy of Arts where she studied under master Priit Pärn himself.
Nata uses digital animation to create visually engaging character-based works. The stories she tells are based on the ideas of absurdity and defamiliarization, they also show a new, fresh view on elements of everyday life, which was appreciated at the most important international animated film festivals.
