Białystok Senior Citizens triumphing at the Senior Movie Film Festival

“Mam tutaj przeszłość i teraźniejszość” / “I’ve Got Here Past and Present” shot by the Senior Citizens at the last year’s ŻUBROFFKA won the first prize at the Senior Movie Film Festival in Gdynia!

The film was made at “To Revive Memories” workshops, host by Magdalena Bryll and Natalia Spychała of Fabryki Form Fszelakich. Its authors inlcude: Alicja Adamowicz, Leonarda Busłowska, Aleksy Charkiewicz, Zdzisława Cieślukowska, Halina Danisiuk, Elżbieta Kackieło, Helena Łukaszewicz, Wiesława Popiel, Danuta Rogalska, Bożena Sienkiewicz, Julia Szeps, Alicja Temler, and Maria Waśkiewicz.

Justification of the jury:
For an attractive form in showing the identity of the place and identity of the characters, for a very good transposition of the animation in the documentary. “Mam tutaj przeszłość i teraźniejszość” is a universal and optimistic film, whose form should be appreciated by the viewers. Everything is based on the observation of the ever-changing reality.

Senior Movie Film Festival (seniormovie.pl) took place from November 22nd to 24th in Szczecin. It aims at amateur and independent filmmakers over 60. The festival includes the main competition and additional events (discussions, lectures, film screenings, Q&As with guests, concerts and exhibitions.

32 films competed for the main prize.
