Călin Boto
A film curator, writer, and text editor based in Bucharest, working as an associate curator for Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival (BIEFF) and as a film programmer for Woche der Kritik (Berlin Critics’ Week). Trained as a film critic, he writes for several publications, including Filmexplorer (Switzerland) and Films in Frame (Romania). A member of FIPRESCI. He teaches film criticism (as a visiting lecturer) at the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale”, Bucharest. He curated series of screenings at the Romanian Cinematheque, as well as festival retrospectives of experimental cinema, queer cinema, silent cinema, etc. In 2024, he curated the first Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour in Bucharest.
Vassilis Economou
Is the Public Relations Officer, senior writer, and industry reporter at Cineuropa.org. As a producer, he leads development, promotion, and outreach for ASPHALT, an Athens-based production house focused on genre cinema. Previously, he was a programmer and selection committee member for the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and served as International Press Coordinator for the Odesa International Film Festival. He has collaborated with Locarno Pro, been a preselection committee member for Less is More (LIM), a project development platform by Le Groupe Ouest, and has served on the Antalya Film Forum Consultants’ Board.
David Katz
David Katz has been a film journalist for over a decade. Based in London, UK, he is a staff writer at Cineuropa, and has freelanced for Sight and Sound, The Film Stage, Time Out London and VICE. He holds a particular interest in non-fiction and experimental cinema.
