The Slavic witch figure, Baba Yaga, undergoes a transformation into a “prehistoric goddess from the time of matriarchy”. This transformation evokes multilayered reflections on reproduction and identity, seen through the eyes of a child. The child confronts binary gender roles, often turning sexist and anthropocentric images into tools of resistance against institutionalised violence.
