Oscar nominees: Animated shorts

Bialystok boasts many great animators who were born here. One of them, Tomek Baginski, was even nominated for the Academy Award. Therefore we are pleased to invite you to the screening of 2013 Oscar nominees in the category: animated film. You will be able to see them thanks to our collaboration with ShortTV distributor.

Last year the Oscar went to “Paperman”, the film that was seen on the Internet by millions of people. This year’s nominees were dominated by young American animators, so it is worth checking who will soon be making big hits for Pixar or Disney. We shall witness the great comeback of Maggie Simpson animated by David Silverman, who is responsible for the feature film “The Simpsons Movie”. “Fresh Guacamole” directed by PES, i.e. Adam Pesapene, also fought for the prize. Another film comes from working for Disney Minkyu Lee – his “Adam and Dog” is about friendship between people and animals. A British man Timothy Reckart, a graduate of the London Film School, hoped for the Award as well.

Oscar-nominated films are the world’s top-shelf productions – works of experienced talents and promising self-made artists, who are winning the international market.
