Japoński festiwal Media Arts to impreza, łącząca różne formy ekspresji, dostępne w przestrzeni pomiędzy sztuką a rozrywką, takie jak sztuka interaktywna, instalacje, grafika, fotografia cyfrowa, sieć, gry, animacje, wideo, komiks itp. Całe to spektrum zostało zdefiniowane jako „media arts”, bo granice pomiędzy formami i gatunkami coraz częściej zacierają się i trudno jednoznacznie określić, co jest sztuką, a co rozrywką. Na festiwal zgłaszanych jest zwykle ok. 2700 dzieł z ponad 40 krajów. Dzięki współpracy z innymi festiwalami, dzieła z Media Arts można zobaczyć na całym świecie.

Nagrodzone japońskie krótkometrażówki już od kilku lat możemy oglądać także w ramach festiwalu ŻUBROFFKA. Tym razem zaprezentowany zostanie Video Work Program, złożony z 12 bardzo różnych prac video, wyselekcjonowanych z grupy filmów docenionych przez jury podczas tegorocznego Japan Media Arts.

Japan Media Arts Festival is an event that combines different forms of expression from the realms of art and entertainment, such as: interactive art, installations, graphics, digital photography, web, games, animations, video, comics, etc. The entire range has been defined as „the media arts,” as the boundaries between forms and genres are becoming increasingly blurred and it is difficult to distinguish between art and entertainment. The festival usually shows about 2,700 works from more than 40 countries. Thanks to collaboration with other festivals, works from the Media Arts can be seen all over the world.
Award-winning Japanese short films have been present at ZUBROFFKA for a couple of years now. This time we will show you the Video Work Program, composed of 12 extremely different video works, selected from the group of films awarded by the jury at this year’s Japan Media Arts
