SLOVAKIA, A COUNTRY OF HAPPY PEOPLE… short films programme

Life is not easy for short films on the this earth and Slovakia is even one of the tough places. Both in terms of media nor cinema distribution. Yet, it is said that good

things are hard to find and the truth is, that within last few years, Slovak short

films have proved their qualities by collecting awards all over the world. The quality of Slovak short film is hidden in the nature of Slovak filmmaker´s sarcastic nature – mixture of resignation in the right ratio with sarcastic humor or slightly pathetic will to fight.

Selection of slovak short films will be presented by Eva Križková and Eva Pa, mothers of slovak film magazine KINEČKO (kinecko.com), cofounders of distribution lab Filmtopia (filmtopia.sk) and cinema experiment Foajé (foaje.net) in Bratislava.
