Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, girls and boys, it is with utmost pleasure that we present you the “bloody good FAMU choice”, which is everything that we have been able to squeeze out from the FAMU intestines during the last decade!
The FAMU Chainsaw Massacre
December 7th, 2018, 6 PM
Sejny Cultural Centre, 17 1 Maja Street
age rating: 16+
The Czech FAMU school (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) belongs to the group of 15 most important film schools in the world, which is a source of pride for all its teachers and students. Apart from all manners of attempts at filming the social and psychological drama taking place in flats in Prague, students of cinematography, directing and animation develop their exuberant, macabre fantasies in the school’s dark basements. This results in a yearly output of student etudes, filled with black humour, “funny” fatal accidents, perversely decadent as blood-red spots. We hope that you will not be bothered by missing limbs, the sound of a chainsaw, and vomit projectiles in the air! The more sensitive audience are requested to be accompanied during the screening by partners, whom they can hold hands with when necessary (paper bags may also prove useful…).
