ŻUBROFFKA Special: Podlasie Film Breakfast
8.12.2023, 12:00
Klub FAMA, ul. Legionowa 5
bilet: 20 zł – bilety.bok.bialystok.pl
Let’s meet at the Podlasie table and screen! Joint tasting of typical dishes of the region and films created by artists originating from Podlasie is a great opportunity to spend time with culture in its various dimensions. It can be a very inspiring meeting!
During breakfast, we will visit a village on the border, where simple, idyllic life collides with the roar of military cars and the hum of helicopters. An elderly lady living in Hajnówka will explain to us what a mythical scare is, and we will learn about the life of a man who spends every moment among horses. We will explore themes of love, loss and longing, and travel through the ancient and amazing Forest. We will visit the Sami village in the north of Norway to learn more about the interesting maxim: “If the hand can’t do it, maybe the foot does?”. Finally, we will face the so-called ‘first film syndrome’, i.e. the need to include all the most important content in a debut work.
