The authenticity and richness of taste are certainly due to the filmmakers associated with the Film Podlasie Attacks!, such as Agnieszka Waszczeniuk, Jola Bańkowska, Ireneusz “Parkos” Prokopiuk, Kobas Laksa and Szymon Ruczyński. Filmmakers who raise important topics in their films, interesting not only from the perspective of the region, but also the world. Their films prove that, just as Podlasie’s cuisine is appreciated by the best chefs, films from Podlasie can move both Polish and foreign audience.
The program was additionally enriched with films made in Podlasie by Agnieszka Nowosielska and Matej Bobrik. These are films filled with Eastern melancholy, magic and love for people. At the end of the screening the audience will watch a film by Szczepan Skibicki, a true alchemist of astrophotography, thanks to whom we will immerse ourselves in a magical night in Podlasie… and it is worth remembering that Kupała Night, an ancient celebration of vitality and fertility, takes place in June!
