The pains of adolescence are known to each and every one of us, so it’s no surprise that this topic is always relevant and constantly engages filmmakers and audiences around the world.
In our culture, turning eighteen marks a certain watershed moment – the official time of gaining the right to vote, deciding on the shape of one’s own life, and participating in decisions that affect the future of the world. We believe that anyone who has lived through the 18 years of our festival’s adolescence and juvenescence has something of a superhero within them! Therefore, we are not afraid of the responsibility burden; we are ready to go our own way, and consequently… also make mistakes (our own mistakes). That is why the 18th ZUBROFFKA will be a loving tribute to the madness of youth, but also to the rite of passage and the quest for self-discovery. It promises to be a few exceptional, very personal days, charged with intense emotions and sounds!
We have invited Sander Joon to create the trailer and graphics for this year’s festival. The visual identification based on his concept was made by graphic designer Izabela Sroka.
