Washingtonia wins! 9th International Short Film Festival just ended in Białystok, Poland. 5 intense days full of short films, concerts, exhibitions and workshops. 108 films compete in 6 competitions and jury members: Katarzyna Kijek, Ujkan Hysaj, Piotr Bernaś and Przemysław Adamski awarded greek short film “Washingtonia” by Konstantina Kotzmani for meaningful, powerful yet very restrained way of filming. For applying aesthetics to create a surrealistic vision out of the existing reality as they stated. Oscars short-listed Polish documentary “Joanna” by Joana Kopacz scored three awards and Polish-Armenian co-production “Milky Brother” by Vahram Mkhitaryan, who leaves Białystok with two awards!
