In many countries, hotels do not have rooms number 13; sometimes the twelfth floor is also followed by the fourteenth floor. Although we in Lower Silesia are not particularly suspicious, we do have our fears connected with the number thirteen. This is why the crew of “Under the Young Eye” Documentary Film Festival in Świdnica comes to ŻUBROFFKA’s rescue. We bring a set of documentaries about happiness to Podlasie – optimistic, or ones that put you in a positive mood at least! We are happy to visit Białystok with a programme about the different versions of optimism.
“Under the Young Eye” is one of the activities carried out by Wrocław Film Foundation, aimed at presentation of documentary cinema, mainly short films by young authors. The winners of the previous years’ festival competitions were Grzegorz Zariczny, Jagoda Szelc, Marta Prus and Jakub Radej, among others. We also organize SPEKTRUM Świdnica Film Festival, which promotes new artistic cinema among the region’s citizens.”
