CASTING: Film workshops for seniors

Rozpoczęcie: 3 December 2014 19:55
Zakończenie: 7 December 2014 10:54
Kategoria: Workshop

Prowadzenie/Hosts: Marcin Filipowicz
Białystok, 3-7.12.2014

During the workshop we will try to show the world that being a senior means more common sense and peace of mind. It is the prime of life and so the best time for making films.

The theme of the workshop is CASTING. Together we are going to make a short feature film which will be a clever pastiche of Polish cinema. At the beginning we shall split into two groups: filmmakers and actors. The actors will play the roles of their favourite Polish heroes. We’ll get at iconic scenes from the films by Wajda, Polanski, Piwowski, Kieslowski and other masters of cinema. We plan to re-enact the best moments of „The Cruise”, „Man of Marble” or „Knife in the Water”. The group of filmmakers will be responsible for the artistic effect. Some costumes we’ll borrow from the theatre, some we’ll find in our closets. If each participant brings something from home, we’ll become one big family having a good time together. Homemade preserves, pickled mushrooms and other specialties are welcome. As you know, making films is a combination of fun and hard team work. Our workshop is going to be like that, too.
