Dances with Camera is a selection of international shorts prepared by Ad Arte Foundation and Short Waves Festival, whose common language is dance, movement and widely understood physical expression. It is also the name of a prestigious competition which takes place during Short Waves Festival, presenting selected dance films from around the world.
Film dance, screendance, videodance – Is not only a dance created for the camera, it is an artistic form in which intertwine various film genres, visual arts and media, traditional and experimental forms, feature stories and completely abstract images. The set includes productions mentioned and awarded at international film festivals, including Cinedans Festival Amsterdam, POOL Internationales Tanz Film Festival, San Francisco Dance Film Festival, InterFilm Festival Berlin, Leeds Interantional Film Festival, Screenmotion Festival London.
